He Tryed to mug the wrong girl!!

by xmillyxxx @ Tuesday, May. 27, 2008 - 21:31:56

OMG!!

I almost had my bag snatched today!!

Was driving home when i this bloke flagged me down. He had kids in the car so i did'nt see him as a threat....How wrong was i !

I had assumed he had run out off petrol, and as he had kid's with him,i felt sorry for him.

Well...he opened my passenger door and asked '' You speak english'' ...well...obviously!

''yes'' I Replied

''I am from ukraine and baby dying,i money for hospital in nottingham''

''Have you run out of fuel'' i said.

''No,need money''

At this point i was a little taken aback to be fair! Told him that i did'nt have any money, which was true!

So...he decided to grab my handbag from off the passenger seat! Big mistake...my reactions are well quick when it comes to my things!
I pulled the strap from his hand, and asked..

''WTF do you think you are doing''

''I need money'' was his reply!

''Piss off'' was mine!

With that,he shut the door, and flagged down the next car...Unbelievable!

Dunno what was more stupid off me...stopping in the first place,or failing to punch the wanker!!

And...if i had money, i would of probably gave him some...sucker that i am!

It's a pity that you didn't carry a spray can of paint in the car and do him over.

Unfortunately, the days of trusting strangers are long gone. There are no more Highwaymen around than before, but we just hear about them more often now. You were lucky on this occasion, so I hope you learn from the experience and keep your door locked. Minimizing risk is the best policy.

A friend of mine who lives in Tooting had her bag literaly snatched from her shoulder in the street recently. She tried to hold on to the strap, but the result was a broken arm and her bag went anyway. She wasn't expecting a bag-snatcher to be carrying a hammer.

Cheers, Tom.

I agree with you, it's a shame that the world has come to the fact that you don't want to stop and help people as you don't know what they could do. Yes, i was lucky as he could of done anything, although,i would of put up a fight :)) .

I hope your freind is ok after her ordeal, that is awful.

What a horrible experience. It is so sad, because it stops people trying to help genuine people. I'd hate it if I had broken down and no-one stopped. Glad you are safe. But from now on listen to your dad!

Like you,i would hate the thought of breaking down and no-one stopping to help me, but now, i would totally understand why no-one would...and is the reason i got R.A.C cover! I intend to listen to me dad, after all, he does know best!

Where I live there are cars parked in the garage forecourt unlocked with the keys in the ignition! Its amazing the differences between working in the city and living in a remote place!

I live in the Cotswold's...quiet, tranquil little place!! and crime still happens here! I frequently leave my cae un-locked, if it was nicked...they would be doing me a favour :))

That is a horrible story but as a Londoner I always lock my car doors before setting off anywhere. Sadly this kind of thing happens every day here....why though!
Hope you are Ok and not too shaken but it all!
